History
Built as a house in 1897 by the current owner's grandparents , they turned it into a "wine inn and tavern." At the time, the village of Alza was separate from San Sebasti?n. When the next generation took over , it was turned into a restaurant. Kitchen duties are now shared between Juan Ramon Arzak and his daughter Elena.
The restaurant was awarded three Michelin stars in 1989, and holds them to this day.
